Land managers and community members in Western NSW are assured that it will be business as usual for services provided by the Catchment Management Authorities (CMA) despite a reduction in CMAs from 13 to 11 and boundary changes announced last week.
The Catchment Management Authorities Amendment Order 2012 was gazetted on Friday October 19, which reduced the number of Catchment Management Authorities (CMAs).
The Lower Murray-Darling CMA has been incorporated into the Western and Murray CMAs, while the Sydney Metropolitan CMA has been incorporated into Hawkesbury Nepean CMA.
